Busted in Coupe

Got my first speeding fine in the Coupe last Sunday. 119km in 100km zone. Wasn't even trying to go quick! One hand on the wheel the other one animating the conversation I was having with my mate in the passenger seat.

The coppa walked around the car and asked me if I restored it etc..., went back to his Commodore and came back with a ticket marked down to 114km, only 1 point - phew! Might frame it and hang it in the garage to remind me to tahe it easy

Re: Busted in Coupe

He was in a Commodore? You should have just out run him :)

1 point is a good result though. I nearly have all my points back now after a few years of getting caught too often.

Re: Busted in Coupe

The "best" ones are those who drive with a mobile phone in one hand and have an animated conversation with the other hand.

Not a fan of Mobiles in general! Since moving from the city I hardly use mine. Might p#ss it off, one less bill to pay, more $ for the car. Nothing worse than having to put up with someone elses converstion in public when you can only here one side of the story IMO. As for in cars!!! The point about one hand off the wheel and conversation was to paint the picture that I was Cruisin'....

It still amazes me that while the law says it is illegal to talk on a molbile phone while driving it is perfectly O.K. to hold a burning cigarette!!!

But my daily observations would suggest otherwise
