Hi everyone

ok, i am thinking about buying a diry cheap EB ED or whatever and swaping parts over into my EA. I have seen a few EB SII for around $700 bucks which have like trans problem or something. I have a CFI 3.9, so im gona mabe try and get a 3.9ltr EFI and do a conversion. What engines do EB II have? i know they have 4 spd autos and i got a 3 spd, can i still do the conversion? Please get bak to me someone on this. Thnx

EB2 have the 4.0 mpi engine. Im pretty sure u can do the conversion with the parts from the 4.0 I dont think theres much if any difference between the 3.9 and 4.0 mpi setup.
If the gear box in the wreck u get is ok id swap that over too, or if you get a manual.... :s2:

so if i get for example a EB2 that the engine has done like alote of kms, i can swap the parts into my EA?

Yeah you can take all the stuff you want off it, but you might be better off repairing whatever the EBII/ED needs and selling the EA! Probably better than stuffing around with the EA, because you'll end up transferring everything!

I have a spare 4 speed if you end up doing this

Get an EBII with a damaged body, try to get one with a good engine and just swap the engines over, 3sp to 4sp conversions can be a pain in the ass, try to get a 5 speed

you will need engine wiring harness and computer for 3speed multipoint - sixinarow is right its a fair bit of head **** getting the 4 speed in - if you do you will need wiring harness and computer for 3.9 4 speed multipoint, you will also need to put in gearbox computer - you also need to get the right tps

So, if i get a 4pd trans, and do the MPFI conversion, i need to change the computer to a 4spd muiltypoint?

Just do the whole engine bay wiring loom from a EA MPI 4 speed. That should get it working great guns but will take a while. Maybe a week or two doing it properly.
