Hi guys, just wondering if this is a good deal or not. Its a mod I want to do to my car but am completely clueless about....

180 bucks is pretty steep i reckon... do some research on how to make your own and save! :s6:

seems a bit steep, and also has too many ribbed bends in it, a piece of 3 inch stainless steel exhaust mandrel bent at the local exhaust shop, and a bought pod would be cheaper I thought, and better as well.

I don't think the one pictured is the one they send, you have to tell em what model car you have before they send you one. Thanks for the help guys, going on what you've said I think I'll give it a miss

the obvious fault is that the pod would sit directly ontop of your exhaust, sucking up hot air

it needs a 'u' shape in it for starters to direct back onto the inlet side of the car away from the heat

that is taking for granted that it goes onto the throttle body directly, they really spoiled us with the size of the image

DJ_pom, easy way is to run a pipe from your airbox to the brake ducts at the front (if you still have them?)

See now this is my point, that doesnt sound easy to me....... I'd rather part with some cash and have someone do it for me!

Well it does depend on a few things, and theres a few different ways to do it.

One involves the use of a hole saw on one of your panels (underneath the airbox), so you may not be keen on doing that. I'd do it but seeing as my brake ducts have lights in them, there's no point cos very little air would get through anyway.

Well if there is anyone located near the Sutherland Shire in NSW who knows how to install CAI in brake ducts (is that even legal?) and is willing to do it for a case of beer (or whatever $ amount its worth) let me know!
