Re: Err ...sorry

my dad has an AUII forte on gas.

it goes like hell, a petrol AU gets maybe 1/8 of a car length on it at the lights. for all that extra economy, id take that tiny performance 'hit'... ive destroyed a mates VH 5L in that AU - before it was even ran in! it goes much harder now its past 50,000KM...

but anyway... how much do you pay for LPG where you are? full tank for $12? its about $25 these days, the AUII has a big tank too. thats at ~36c/litre.

Re: Err ...sorry

I agree with jbolger in that they go very hard on gas. My dads AU wagon has a factory dual fuel setup and I have destroyed my friends Magna Sports, while running on gas with both tanks about 3/4 full!!! Condsider that the wagon is about 1700 kg, and a sedan would be even less.

It is damn near impossible to pick which fuel the car is running on, because the performance is soo close. My suggestion is that if you can find a nice AU with low k's and on gas, then go for it. They are brilliant cars.

Re: Err ...sorry

my dads is factory LPG only, BTW. no bulky gas tank in the boot - but they move the spare up into the normal boot space, as the tank goes into where the spare is.

factory LPG

yeh my dads AU forte factory gas and has the spare in the boot. kind of shitty consdeiring how ****ing big the spare is.
there is no room for a decent subbox, but you could easily fit a single sub, or some sort of custom made box in there.
