Having swapped the engine over, I had a radiator out a Zf fairlane I was going to use but it won't fit.

Can I use the Six cylinder radiator temporarily until I can find a suitable V8 one?

Whats the best way of going about getting a V8 radiator? Buy one from a wrecker?
I'm believe that a radiator place may not swap a 6 for an 8 radiator, but would they sell me a reconditioned one outright?

I can get a Performance radiator from Aussie Desert Coolers for $375, so what do you reckon would be a fair price a reco or second hand unit?

Yes you can, don't be surprised if it runs a little hot thats all.

V8 have more cores, so cool better.

Thats what I would have expected, I've got a 6 blade fan so that should help a bit.
Will I have difficulties locating a V8 radiator? Are they the same from Xa - Xc? How about XD's & XE's?

You could always run a cooler thermostat to help out a bit as well, or none at all, till you get the new radiator, as it is carby and I guess manual choke, you can tune to how you like, so no thermostat wouldnt matter.

You can normally get a 6 radiator re-cored for more cores, i think 3 is standard, and V8's have 4.

If you want an XC V8 auto radiator, I have one you can have for nix. Only problem is I'm in the ACT.

So will an XC radiator fit. Methinks yes, but I was wrong about the fairlane radiator.
