No Need to panic as Mr Mag here in Perth just has clinched a deal with the original Mould holders as to remake the 15/7 Bathurst globe's with the cap and the sticker and offer them as a set for a very good price indeed

Not really... a set were for sale here last year for $900. Genuine set of 5 flat lipped 1977 XC Cobra globes. Just a matter of being at the right place at the right time. I offered these wheels to about 8 people and no one wanted them. They now sit on my mates XBGT...
My advice.... keep looking and NEVER give up. You'd be surprised what turns up when you least excpect it : )

I can't post pic's as I don't have the equipment,but the easiest way is to see the Flat outer lip(original) and the fake's have an extra lip for the wheel weight's to attach on to.just go to a GT club web page and have a look at some GT's.

are the repro Globes going to have the flat lip and the same sort of matte colour? are they exact copies? if they are, i'm sold....
I went in yesterday and yes, they have the lip on them, aka XD ones. These are the mark 2 version ones as the other catsings are now no good and CSA Mullins cannot use them.
your all in luck if you can get you hands on them MR Mag in bayswater Western Australia got a contract to make so many sets of globes so they are exact copies with all the same detailing and globes indentification im not sure of the number ill post it when i get it

Not quite! As I said before the ones being made have the lip, XD style. Th XC Cobras did not have this lip, thay had a flush side to them. They have 25 sets on order (100 wheels) of which 4 sets have been drilled in the HQ-WB stud pattern so if you want them, get in now.
i rang them just before and they said the Mark 2 was the original Cobra rim and that it had a 1mm lip...the mark 1 was the one without the lip...i had a closer look at some Cobra pics and they appear to have that 1mm lip...
any cobra owners out there verify or disprove this?
