Changing AUII Immobilizer Beep?

Is it possible to change it?

I want to change it to a more forceful and professionall sounding alarm beep.

Where would I go to get it changed? (Brisbane)

Re: Changing AUII Immobilizer Beep?

If its from a factory alarm system that is anything like the EL, its from the siren horn, which in inbuilt with the backup battery and a few other bits. Changing is probably possible, but would suck(difficult) and potentially make the system more susceptible to tampering (i.e. able to cut the leads to the new horn).

And yes, the EL's alarm arming "beeps" are fairly tragic as well . . .

Re: Changing AUII Immobilizer Beep?

Just open the alarm, disable the speaker in it, and add a second unit with a sound you like :0)

Re: Changing AUII Immobilizer Beep?

Would the second unit be a new alarm system?

I'm fairly certain it uses the horn.
