Clicking sound around fuel tank..

Apologies if this has been asked to death (couldn't find anything..)

I have an AUII.. when a door is closed, a click comes from the boot.. it's not a rattle, more of a mechanical 'click'. I guessed it was a solenoid or something, but honestly have no idea.

Does everyone's do this? What the hell is it? :)

Thanks.

Re: Clicking sound around fuel tank..

Is it the boot light turning on and off.
If you open the boot the interior light will switch on so the opposite would happen as well.

I don't think so.. it sounds more like it's coming from the fuel tank, or the wall of the boot.

It's a single 'click', loud enough to notice when standing at the front passenger door. It makes the sound when a door is closed (it's not a rattle caused by the door closing). Even if a gently push the door closed, I hear the click.

I had a friend stand at the fuel door and listen, and it's definitely mechanical, but we have no idea what it is :)

It could be the actuator.. anyone else find they get this click?
