Has anyone got an idea as to how to solve the problem of the 50 cents worth, digital clock they put in the AU Dashboard. It can only be seen during daylight. I am a time based person and neeeed a clock that I can see in the evening.
how do you get the clocks out and can you change them with one from another AU? my POS(piece of shoot) clock only displays parts of numbers and really drives me insane. what do i have to do to change it?
So AU digital clocks have a "calculator" type of LCD screen, rather than a lit up "clock radio" screen? Interesting...
As outback_ute said, a better/working back light is probably the way to go. I had a similar problem with my EB's clock recently.
MR AUII: AU clocks should be interchangable. The real bugger would be figuring out how to take the surroundings out so that you can get to the clock. I'm not familiar with AU dashes though so I won't know where to start. I had to pull half the bloody dash out just to get to my clock.
Went down to Ford spare parts today. And there comment was "show us the globe your looking for and we will find it". I asked if they knew if there was one instead of pulling the dash to pieces. 30 mins later and a lot of head sctraching by the sales bloke and he then says "it aint in the computer, so I suppose they don't have one" ....grrrrr i really wonder sometimes why I go to ford spare parts.
Strange. My AU1 has a clock in the dash above the radio and aircon controls. It's easy to read day or night, like a "clock radio" style that lights up.
Is this different to the sort of clocks you guys are talking about in your AU's?
