Colour Coded Mirrors no longer on XR6 N/A - Ford Forums

Does anyone know if the colour coded mirrors have been dropped off the XR Range. A guy at Bryan Byrt Ford told me today that only the XR6 Turbo and XR8 were getting the colour coded mirrors from now on.

They had a white one in stock with the black mirrors, it had been just delievered and looked CRAP.

Anyways any help would be great.

Carton of beer to the local panel and paint guys will fix that, must admit, black ones are pretty ordinary. It seems to be a standard little feature that they add and remove throughout base models lifespan.

IMO Thats very poor form by Ford if they have removed the colour coded mirrors from the N/A XR6. Why would you do so! It can't save that much money and it just makes the car look cheaper. I really hope this isn't the case.

I dunno, to be honnest the car looked rotten, but yeah the guy may have been bullshiting me and the car may have been stuffed up.

The only thing i can think of is that a customer has ordered a White XT and BBFord have pulled the white mirrors off the XR6 and put them on the XT.

But i dunno.

Someone please find out???

Or maybe its being done to destinguish the 6 and the 6T from the front

all I can say is, mine better have'em... the dealer can paint them themselves at their expense... I want the car i signed a contract for!!!

what if the contract doesn't specify whether the car has colour coded mirrors or not?

Hahah its pretty easiily fixed, get the dealer to rip a set of colour coded mirrors of a Futura/Fairmont, easily solved.
