confused Converting an XF to manual

Hi im only 16 and im really into xf fairmonts, i have a 1986 xf fairmont ghia at the moment but im planning on buying another one, but is there any way of converting it to a manual? it will most likely be the 4.1 EFI model that i will get. Ive heard a bit about the celica boxes aswell and are they any good?

can anyone help me???

yes there is a way of converting it from a auto to a manual.

you do not need a celica box as you can purchase a 4speed or 5speed to suit the XF.
I posted about this before and I am sure someone else has posted about doing this also

Hi, you can get an adaptor kit to fit almost any gear box to any motor. But if you stick with a t5 five speed you can pick one up from pretty much any wrecking yard.
I hope that's some help. Maybe try a toyota supra box, for a smoother gear change, btu if you are feeling poor, go with the t5 lol.
