There is a small scuff plate on either side of the doors in the coupes. It is on the b pillar near the seatbelt roll at the base of the door and is about twenty centimetres by 15 and curves with the shape of the door. does anybody know what this piece is called? It is made of the same material as the front scuffplates/speaker covers.
Up here, we call them kick panels, just like the ones in the front. In fact, I just finished spraying mine black. One was parchment and one was saddle! Not sure if you guys have another name for them.....you know, like boot v. trunk, hood v. bonnet, etc.,.... BTW, do XC's have a "hood release" like XA/XB or is the handle marked "bonnet release"?
I know what your talking about, I guess there called rear kick panels? I have 2 sets of genuine black ones. I fortunatly saved a pair from being taken to the tip.

I am pretty sure XA_GT_351 knows how much they are wanted.
I sold a set of gen black coupe front and rears for $350, I had people lining up for them.
Remember they are only worth as much as someone is willing to pay, so no matter how big or small they are, the price is through the roof.
So are you trying to encourage him not to sell them to me, or to sell them to me for a ridiculous price...?
I bought a set of genuine coupe front *black* scuff plates for $16...
For $350 i could get a new set made...hell, i could probably get two new sets made. They are only black plastic after all. Fair enough they are rare but $350, thats laughable.
XA_GT_351...post a reply if your interested. Thanks.
I bought a pair of the very tiny black sedan ones that go on the lower B pillar for $50. I guess i won't be needing these anymore as the coupe's gone, You can have them for $100 seeing there for a coupe.
