Your right Mighty XE - there are a lot of options, however when I bought my BA XR8 ute I could'nt order a different colour seat combo - ie. red (it could only be blue or grey), nor could I get a 'remote fuel release' - apparently that is all about to change.

Im guessing more or less these would basically freeing up some of the silly restrictions.. IE, I have the money, why can't you put these seat from X car into my Y car. Most would be dealer fit, or small factory stuff.

Offering more flexability in trim, colour and options espically on top end cars, GT, GTP, XR, Fairmont Ghia, Fairlane, LTD ETC.. would most likely attact customers. Fords not so bad, but Holden has some really odd colour choices that should be optional for societys sake!

Don't know about V8 wagons and such. Or manual Ghias, with turbo engines. Or your own selection of diff ratios from 3.08 to 4.44..brembos from GT on your XR or Ghia if you can cough up cash. XR8 bonnet on XR6? NO! Ghia headlights/body work on your XR6 Turbo or XR8? Maybe!

It would be nice to have a personalised Falcon from the factory. Most likely would help push up resale on tasteful ones because they are a bit unique.

But the possibilities are interesting. XT Turbo? XR8 engined Ghia? Brembo'd XR? Perhaps even the strangest of all, a Fairlane Ute..

But maybe they need more options, 6 piston brakes, a hot cammy N/A 6, 6 speeds, 20" rims, 6.8L V10.. Yes!! a V10 wagon!!!

why dont Ford worry about delivering the cars on time or at earlier dates first....then worry about the bells and wistles....remote fuel release on my ba ute would have loved to see that...

They can't even supply the ones they offer now.

I received my ute minus prestige sound which i ordered. (now they have told me it can't be fitted after manufacture)
I am still waiting for my hard cover.
And when i went to order my ute i queried them about the option of a 3:45 diff ratio option as specified in the brochure and they told me i can only order it if i buy an auto. (i bought manual)
And plenty of other stuff which i am sick of going on about.

Have sent messages to David Flint and wrote letters to Ford and have had arguements with the dealer. (Lynford Osborne Park CRAP)
David Flint wont reply.
Ford Customer Relations dont give a F*#k.
And my dealer (Lynford Osborne Park) is nothing but a low life money hungry piece of S#*T.

I am 30 years old and have owned 5 XR8's and i don't think i will be buying another.
Don't get me wrong the car is good but the bulls*#t service that comes with it isn't worth it.

I love my fords but sometimes divorce is the only way.

Have to ask - why take delivery if the order was not correct? With the amount of money cars cost today, getting what you ordered is a must.

Very true, Phil. IF I got what apparently was my car but didn't have the things I ordered and paid for I'd leave it at the dealer and let them sort it out!

Forget that for a joke. I don't care if it's a Ford or a Daewoo, if it's not in it I ain't taking it!
