Re: Damm Dealers

Yes I know where you are coming from with "don't come to us if it falls apart". The amount of paper work and convincing the dealer has to go through to get Ford to repair a obvious warranty claim is a joke.

Yep, thats EXACTLY IT !
Hell, I'm going to print that out and send it to my Ford dealership(s).

Oh I forgot, they already have in on an internal memo from Ford HQ.

Re: Damm Dealers

Don't know enough about what Ford are asking of their dealers to vote on the poll. I'm tempted to vote that the dealers get what they deserve, but know that is not always the case.

Then there's the crap the dealer has to go through to get paid for the warranty claims(cross your T's and dot your I's or your claim will be denied)

Re: Damn Dealers

Car salesmen don't do buyers any favours at all. Unless you happen to be a mate of one, even then, I'm sure they've only convinced you they're doing you a favour, while pulling the knife out of your back with their free hand.

Anyway, where was I? Surely this type of direction from Ford is "the way things work". In good times, the dealers are going to make a killing, and in bad times, the dealers are going to make a killing.

It's all a bit like banks and bank fees (or service fees, account keeping fees, whatever you want to call them). But don't get me started on bloody bankers - sorry laminge!

^^^ Thats ok doting the i's and crossing the t's. There needs to be a system.
This made me think from the dealer's side though, I'm sure through the AU era Ford HQ would have been a pain in the arse to deal with, loss of sales, warrantys etc so it would have been a double edged sword for the customer. In turn the dealer looking the worst.
Man it needs a massive shake up but not run by Ford alone, Ivory tower mentality/policies at cold face consumer level would be a disaster imo. I'm sure somewhere in the dealership network many a dealer principle/sales mngr/parts guys/service have worn the cost for a consumer for the sake of doing the right thing for his and Fords customer.
There not all bad but the system needs a massive shakeup ! Clean new image and Support !
