Well after a lot of waiting I finally got to race the car. Most of the day was spent running a frustrating 14.1. Then with a change of wheels with lower pressure and some different launching techniques I eventually pulled a 13.9.
I was over the moon. Then every run after that got better. I ran another 13.9 with a passenger and then a 13.8x and on the last run I scored a big 13.67 at 105mph.
This was 2 mph higher than my previous runs of the day. That was the final run as my power light kept flashing at me which apparantly meant the auto trans was overheating so I had to give it a rest.
For those who didnt know the car made 202rwkw on the dyno on friday.
To say Im happy with the car would be an understatement. I think there is some more in it as well with the current setup as Im still learning to launch it well but an LSD and 3.45 will be on the cards shortly.
It was a great day at heathcote and it was good meeting some new faces, even some from SA made the trip.
Ill post up the time slips and dyno sheet later.

Bloody hell DAN!!!! That is mad! Stock engine, stock shitty diff, clapped auto. ****! It must be worth the wait for sure. Imagine when the diff is in and the engine is tuned to take more boost!
Congrats a million!
PS: Please take me for a spin some day soon!

It wasnt too bad actually, On take off it didnt unless I stalled it up which produced better times. Also once it hit full boost they spun then chirped into second then stopped. Full boost doesnt last long in first gear, it hits boost then goes from 50 to 80 in a blink of the eye, You can see the needle 'jumping' from 50 to 80 on boost then from 80 to 100 when it changes gear. It doesnt move it jumps.
The 17's hardly spun at all at the track but on the way home they were smoking when it came on boost.
I was so stoked when I got 13.9. I still havent got the grin off my face. It feels funny saying 'gee that new SV8 is pretty slow' while looking in your rear view mirror.
The cold air definately helped as it got later I think. As did lower pressure in the tyres and stage 2 weight reduction : )

Fantastic to hear Dan. I had a look at a few of your runs and I was mighty impressed with it. It is truely a stealth weapon!
Considering most people were struggling with the conditions (as you were in the first runs) that sort of time will probably translate to a real 13.7 at Calder.
