Hi guys,

I have been looking for a place that will chrome my XR dash. The old dash has the mat gray finish but i have seen some done in full chrome and looks wicked. Does anyone know someone in the melbourne area that does this. If not can someone point me in the right direction of what plastic chroming is called. cant find anything in the phone book.

dash doctor in coburg i ahve heard are pretty good

The Dashboard Centre in Coolstore Rd in Croydon also do that type of stuff. Apparently do a good job!

There is a mob in Bennet St Dandenong called Vinnies Chrome Plating and they can do exactly what you're after.They don't actually plate it,they get it painted and it looks exactly like chrome.They have a sample in the shop so you can see what it looks like.I tried to find a plastic chrome plater to get some wheel centre caps done and this was the only thing I could find.It seems that no one will do one-off plastic chrome plating,they will only do bulk (thousands) jobs.
