Does anyone use a different luminence level other than the brghtest on the dash of their Falcon? I just use the brightest setting all the time and can't see any reason for having the button there in the first place.

after driving for a while on quiet roads its easier and better for you eyes if you dim the dash, also improves your vision without the glare up close

Sounds fair enough. I've never been in that situation with this car but i find all the setting besides the brightest to be too dim.

Yeh mine are as dimmed as possible. At night if they are too bright- if I look at the cluster and it's too bright and I look up it seems to affect my vision a tad. I also find it easier to read without the glare. Interesting post all the same! Cheers.

It must be in the ADRs somewhere as all cars seem to have this feature and I can't believe car makers would include it unless they had to.

After 4 or so years of ownership I only in the last couple of weeks I figured out the dash lights can be dimmed by accidentally pushing the interior light switch down a little further. haha

It's easier to see out the windscreen at night if the lights inside the car are dim.

Try it at home. At night, try looking out a window with lights on inside your house, then turn them off and you'll appreciate the difference.

My XR6 only has the 2-stage lights, but I drove my dads Ghia the other day and on it you can just about turn the dash lights off. It was great.

During the day if its dull, I have it on brightest.
At night on dimmest or second dimmest. Find bright lights inside too much.
THe old EL i could turn em right off, great in teh country.

I've turned mine down cause i'm sick of replacing globes in the trip computer and climate control (Stupid red globes).
