I have a copy of the Wheels mag with the BA XR8 vs Commo SS vs HSV Clubsport.
Also have the issue of Motor with XR8 vs SS too.

Will one of these do?

If so just PM me with what you whant to know.

Cheers,

The Motor mags numbers are copy/paste from previous comparos. The SS times are taken from XR6T vs SS earlier, while the XR8 times was a seperate XR8 solo again, early on. They just put the numbers (which are identical to these previous issues) and here you go, make Holden boys happy:s6:

In the Wheels the XR8 did 0-400m 14.4 and SS did it in 14.5. XR8 little bit quicker but only just. I want Motor or Wheels to do a comparison of the XR8 ute vs SS ute .

HOwcome wheels managed a 14.5 with the SS but Motor got 13.8 yet Both Wheels and Motor get 14.4 for the xr8? Theres a discrepancy in the SS times somewhere. It's the same with the XR6 Turbo. Wheels got 6.0 and Motor got 5.9 or something while Motor get 13.3 quarters for the GTS when Wheels are laucky to crack into the 13's. Hmmmm.

Different day/weather, different drivers, technique, the reasons are many not to mention the theory of a warmed SS that even the journo's queried. And going by Holden's denials about Kerb/tare weight figures for the VY which were finally publically admitted and got a whole page in yesterdays The Age Drive section, how can we beleive their denial of a warmed SS LS1?

I did some stopwatch times with my XR8 ute and the best I could get was 0-100 - 6.59 and 13.72sec for the 400m. Stopwatch is not very accurate though.
I have managed to get a hold of a G-Tech meter so will be doing some runs again soon, which should be more accurate.
