Doddgy info on edit

Guy's, just a quickie to let you know not to believe everything your told over the phone. A few weeks back I purchased a stealth edit from Herrods. While in general I am happy with the performance and a relatively cheap way for a few more ponnies, I am disappointed with one thing in particular. When making my enquiries the second most important question that I asked the guy on the phone was about the speed limiter, currently 185kl/h. He told me that it had been removed. After a few more not so inportant questions I decided to do the transaction over the phone. Mate, I just went for a quick squirt up the Bruce Highway and managed to encounter an SS. Bugger me if I'm not about to make my move on him and the bloody thing reaches 185------ and then nothing! She stops dead just like it used to. Where do they get off spinnin me the shit about the speed limiter.

Re: Doddgy info on edit

your gunna need to be able to do more than 185km/h when the boys in blue are following you so they stick your license up your arse where you can't use it anymore.

Doing that on a public road is stupid....

(Waiting to be flamed for my opinion now)

Maybe he is a cop in a Q car who decided he'd like to "enhance" his vehicle so as to catch those speeding varments in those SS Commodores and make the roads safer for all of us law abiding enthusiasts <tic>.........

Re: Doddgy info on edit

at those speeds id be more worried about killing yourself and other innocent people opposed to a freakin speed limiter/lost drag race/overtake or some alleged fake spindle from a guy on the phone... some ppl need to wake up.

Re: Doddgy info on edit

Maaate, is this the same edit that gave you less than claimed power?
In any case, what does the supplier have to say about it?
We have already had one saga on here with concerns that a product was not doing what was advertised, but the supplier was never given the chance to put things right.
If there is an issue, tell them and post the outcome.

Re: Doddgy info on edit

Firstly don't always believe what you are told.

Secondly, do you race this car on curcuits? Is this why you need the speed limiter removed? You will need a new driveshaft. Ford put them in due to the shaft. If it is a curcuit car you will have a new shaft and loop.
