mad Dodgy Odometer, dodgy sale

Having bought my car and living up the fact i got my lincence, ive done a lot of driving in the last two weeks. A week ago i noticed that the speed stop working or did work but then froze on any speed above 60.
Needless to say i had it repaired today at the expense of the dealer i purchased it from.

Unfortunatly the repairers reported to me that every guage in the dash was either broken or damaged or not calibrated due to interference. They also informed me that an odometer reset had been attempted so the actual mileage of the car is now totally questionable.

Since this is my first car, I'm wondering how many of you have been in this situation and how did you remedy it. Be aware That my car was sold with a RWC and was sighted by the dealer as having genuine KM's. So im think about sewing.

Anyways help would be great

cheers

Re: Dodgy Odometer, dodgy sale

Find out from the people who fixed the cluster what exactly was wrong with it, and then armed with this take it back to the dealer and claim that the car is not roadworthy and that genuine miles were not displayed.

not much hope me thinks, best just to get the thing running right and sell it.
By the way I don't think there's much money in sewing anymore, too many grandma groups making quilts..... :)

Re: Dodgy Odometer, dodgy sale

Ring the transport people and see if they can give the reading that was given in the sale prior to you buying it.
