I'm certainly happy your car is fine as with many others, but some do have some serious problems & their not associated whingers for saying so.

Plenty of stars in your eyes BOY....and lot of sh*t outa ya mouth too....

Over a month to reply and thats the best you came up with??? Most of the associated whingers i refer too dont even own a FPV. Keep trying

In relation to oil burn my FPV Ute has used 4L in 4000 clicks
Firstly, welcome to the forum. You are correct this should be a place where you can share your experiences and problems. Good or bad it doesnt matter, but once you have been around here for a while you will work out its the same old story from the same few. It usually turns into Tickford V's FPV etc...

Good luck with your oil problem. What has been done about it so far?? oil watch? Let us know how you go.

This is not directed personally at XLR8........but your very wrong......!!!!!

I totally disagree with that comment.......GT-522 ( ADRIAN ) had a GT & a GTP.....both cars were lemons, and some.... BA-GT/P owners on this very forum.....absolutely and indiscrimately crucified that guy..for his outspoken words on the product he bought........shelled out big bucks for......& had no alternative but to rid himself of them, because Ford could not rectify and fix his oil burning problems not to mention the other probs he had even after he had new engines installed.......then he got crucified further, by certain fpv guys here, when he went & got a Holden.....which is going quite good....with no hassles. Hardly any FPV guys HERE give him any respect and treat him like dogsh*t when he does make a comment....which is wrong in my opinion......he had a bit of bad luck....& paid the price for it in dollars, livelihood & his reputation on this forum.....which is now in tatters.
Their are many others here too which have ditched the BA for another brand because of on going problems similar too gt-522.....

I own a 2004 plate BA Falcon too, as well as a 2002 T3-TE-50 sedan.......& am seriously considering back trading the BA to an AU or an EL.......I regret buying this mongrel.....Honestly.....It's a dog......& I don't like it.....It looks great, but i was better off buying a tonker toy......I hate it, and am getting rid of it during the Christmas Holidays.....

Cheers...

Cheers.

Not personal but you quote me.......you always make me laugh!

From what i have read, most people got sick of Adrian turning every thread into BA bashing. Most regular readers knew the problems and got sick of hearing the same thing in nearly every thread! This was usually followed by the T series brigade just trying to stir things up.
I guess Adrian lost his creditabilty with many members and the comments about his Holden were as a result of this. You state there are "many" others who have ditched there ba. Well i know a few who have, but obviously dont know as many as you so i cant comment. Best of luck in trading in yours.

Keep Trying......

I can understand some of the points you have made...but it can be difficult for some to deal with constant anonyances in relation to car trouble. I didn't really want to drag the past up....as what XRFPV8 mentioned but i feel sorry for the guy & wish people would give him go.

Re: Does your Boss 260/290 use more than 500ml oil per 1000kms?

My service dept adds about 3.5-4L of oil to my GT-P every 1000Km. Thats a lot of oil when U consider that i've done 30 000Km in the car already. I must add that the engine is being replaced in the next few months.
