I just had my 2004 XR6 in for a 4yr service. During the service the drive belt was replaced. The car has only clocked up 40k. I thought it was bizzare that the drive belt would only last for 4yr/40k. Is this a common occurance in BA's
Not unusual at all. And particularly if you live near/visit the beach often or use the car in similar conditions where sand gets on the belt when it is parked accelerating the wear.
