Put my XR8 Ute (6000k's) on a dyno today and we did a couple of runs. With a K & N air filter it pulled 190kw at the rear wheels. i think this works out to 255kw at the flywheel, maybe someone can verify that. I didn't have the stock airfilter there to put back on and do a comparison. But I have heard good and bad things about K & N filters, so i wonder.

Also did some runs with a G-tech meter last nite. Best times we got were 6.09 sec 0-100. 14.6 quarter mile at 103.2mph.

It was done a TAFE College Dynomax Dyno. No fudging of tests as is norm for CSV dyno testing.

190 seems about right for the xr8 if anything the k&n would of made a gain and your times seem on a par with those in mags so you got yourself a great ute i envy you.

Filter was a pod which slotted straight into the standard airbox. Model no. is E-0945.

You'll find in this months motor comparo the stock xr8 (sedan) ran 193 rwkw.

Thats what i can't work out as if it runs 193 stock, I should get more with the K & N. If it was standard the 190 figure would be close enough with allowances for small losses.
