Hey guys, does anyone know the codes for the early Falcon 3-speed transmissions (eg. XK-L-M-P)?

If it's body tag codes then the trans code for 3 speed partial synchro is "J" and the full synchro is "N"

Thanks for the reply! I wasn't aware that they produced an all-synchro in the early Australian Falcons, that's certainly good news. Perhaps I should have been more specific. What I was hoping to get was like a code (or model number) for the transmission so I could compare gear ratios and component interchangeability. I have always worked on GM vehicles, and as such am used to the 'M-20, M-21' type designations given to those boxes. What I was hoping was that Ford did a similar thing so I would be able to seek out more information on the particular units.

Ok the only info I have is the 3 spd partial synchro is a series BW 199333 and the full synchro is BW 199332 and 199331.

The last have different numbers for different gear ratios. Now the info doesnt really tell me if it relates to the XP models but does give the same body codes for the transmisssions but those same codes go through numerous years including right up to XA. I can't be sure if this relates to an XK-L-P-M series specifically..hopefully this is some help
