Greetings all,

I've finally got some cash to spice up my boring ol' EB Falcon and was wondering if someone here can point me in the right direction. I have a budget of $7000 which I want to spend on a V8 engine, manual gearbox and whatever is left maybe on some polished rims. How would I go about doing this? Which engine is most suitable for EB engine bay? What gearbox options do I have? Finally how much am I looking at for the entire process?

I just moved to Melbourne so if someone can recommend a place where this can be done that will be great.

I would suggest just falcons in bayswater would be a good place to ask. They offered to convert my manual 6 cyl XF to an auto v8.
They are a good ford wrecker and would likely do the conversion for you. They might not mess with the electrics but ask them anyway, They are fairly reasonable with prices and are nice blokes.

sell your EB for $5000, use the $7000 and safe up a bit more and buy a EF or EL XR8 manual

I owned a EL Xr8 already and I doubt I can get $5000 for my EB. Besides there is something I like about the shape of this model.

Haha before XR8 I owned a R33 turbo skyline man, it kicked ass but once you try an 8 there ain't nothing as great.
