Have just had my EB head gasket replaced and while checking the invoice noticed that there is an entry of $284 for Hydralic Tappets. Then started thinking - overhead cam - should not have tappets. Had a look in the repair manual and can't find any mention of them.

Could someone confirm that there are no tappets in the e-series motors.

Don't mind paying the right price but hate being ripped off.

Tappets= Hydraulic Lash Adjusters in your manual, thats not a bad price for them really.
From ford they can cost up to $60 each.
