EB S 5.0L chaser

I've just bought a 91 EB S 5.0L, I tracked down the previous owner and he told me it was an ex cop car and that it has got a chip, can anyone tell me if this would be correct, it is also a 5 speed

Has it got the Police instrument cluster, has it got about a dozen earth straps on the panels such as the bonnet, doors, boot?

One of my friends is an ex copper, from that time period...

He told me that when the cop cars are de commissioned, the chips are removed and the originals are inserted... and you should have holes around your lower dash where instruments/radios were fitted, on either side of the centre dash about the gearstick... thats the only info I have....

See how you go....
