i was just wondering what is the most best way to tell an XR8 sprint. i say this because i recentely looked at one to purchase and i think it was a mock up.

By reading the compliance plate mate, they both use a different engine, from memory* the engine code will be either a code "Z" or "T" someone here will decifer which one it is as i dont have my Ford w/s manual on me.

There would be a few bits that would "normally" be left off a mock up, one I can think of is the small wheel arch extensions at the front just above the bumper. These were never used on any other car so it would have to be hard to get them.

They had a higher redline on the tacho I think which I can't imagine most people doing a copy would bother with.

Gidday, from WA!!! Easiest way to identify a genuine sprint,black (instead of red) inserts in the bumpers & body mouldings,& "T" engine code on the compliance plate, and the genuine exhaust split into 2 after the cats then rejoined over the rear axle. Hope this helps in some way. ELGT4me

They also had 16x7 svo type wheels, cobra type upper inlet manifold, 65mm throttle body, 70mm maf, 1.73 roller rockers, EBGT springs, shocks, and bars, Leather inserts in the seats, momo wheel & gear knob, and probaly heaps more things that I just cant think of. Bloody great car them Sprints...........
