just wondering if it is possible to run a EL EECV computer in an ED without installing a BBM? the reason i ask is because i want to run thermo fans in my next car but i want the computer to control the switching. also would it get better economy because the injectors are shot in seperate stages unlike EECIV which is shot in two lots of three? thanks if you can help.

i was going to do the same thing awhile ago, but i was told that i couldnt run the EF-EL Computer with out the BBM.
You can run thermos without the computer, if you get a thermo switch to turn the fans on and off. Mine work perfectly, but i understand what you are after.
sorry for the wrong advice, as when i was converting to a manual, i asked if i could put in either an EF or EL manual computer and i was told i couldnt. My bad!!!
Minor, really. It's best advantage is in running the BBM and thermos. The knock sensor can help a little, but will not control knock to any great extent.
