Does anyone know, if you can fit the EF airbox to an AU with minor modifications and what parts I'll need?
I have the airbox, the guide on aufalcon.com says I need the BA piping, but I don't have that. Is it possible any other way? Any ideas how I can do it cheaply? :(
The airbox lid will fit onto the bottom of the AU box no worries, as far as i am aware there is actually no difference between EF-AU for the bottom half of the box, however the EF's lid is the bit you want cos its the biggest, or something like that.
You don't need BA piping to fit it, it will accept the AU piping, however it may need a bit added onto the piping to make it fit - that i am not %100 sure on as i have never done it.

The lid fits perfectly... but the piping doesnt :(
yeah, the AU piping wont fit the EF lid straight out, you will need to either add some more or remove some of the end of it (cant remember which), but basically if the piping is smaller than the hole in the lid, add more, if its bigger, cut some off.

The piping off the AU fits into the lid of the EF, I need so somehow get a pipe that allows 80mm to continue aroudn, at the moment theres a piece from the kinked rubber stuff thats 80mm, that adapts to 55mm.. Illl post pics.
I need something to replace this (the part with red lines on it in the red box). becasue at present this part goes from 80mm down to 55mm, which is the restrictive part :(
I think youve probably only got 2 options apart from BA piping - one being EL (as its the same shape as the AU one, but i dont know if its wider or not), or getting a steel one made up.
I would be inclined to give the EL intake pipe a go, i'm sure someone on here actually had their car dynoed, once with EF piping, once with EL, and the EL did make a difference.
But yeah, I don't know for sure if the AU piping is bigger than or the same diameter as the EL piping.
