Hi again. My ef 6cy keeps dying, mainly under acceleration when cold. Also happens when warm but to a lesser extent. never stalls, just dies down then eventually picks up. Got a new tank of fuel but the problem continues. Any ideas?

Start with the basics, new spark plugs, leads if old, air/fuel filters. Would also run some injector cleaner through the tank to see if the injectors are clogged up. After that I would look at the coil packs as I have heard of a few of these going.

things that vary with heat can often be traced to faulty coils / fuel system

Take it to a place that doesn't charge to see whats wrong with it, and get them to diagnose it, then tell them to shove it, you'll fix it yourself

Yeah sounds like a new coil to me. That is exactly what happened to mine.
After changing all the leads and air air/fuel filters turned out to be the coil.
