EF harmonic balancer or end float
Help needed please. My EF has thrown a serpentine belt. So I replaced it and also the flat and ribbed pulleys and bearings. However, the new belt now rides hard against the tension arm in the forward position. I then noticed the harmonic balancer had developed a slight wobble of .5 to .75mm out of round. Also I checked crankshaft endfloat and measured 2mm. Is this exessive. Or can I put shims behind the mounting bolts of the tension arm assembly unit. This would jack out the idler pulleys. Has anyboby had similar situations?
