Well ive finally clocked 300k on the old civic and now its time for a real car and i dont wanna spend more than 18000, cos im a very poor student :(
any who, i was looking round at EL ghias and XR6's and noticed that the AU is becoming very cheap.
So i just wanted oppininions on what to get, Im tending towards ghia's either an EL or AU. Any problems etc

exactly the same fix im in, my 22 year old BMW finally bit the dust and i want and XR6 no question and wondering if i should shell out for the AU11 or the EL...

Only EL I would get is a series II XR8. Otherwise go a series 1 or 2 AU XR6. If you wanted to stretch the piggy bank to 20 you could get an AU1 XR8. I got my AU XR8 December last year with bodykit and 17's for 21K.

Since you're a student you probably don't need the extra insurance and fuel costs associated with the V8. I'd be looking at AUII Futuras for that sort of dosh. Only because I've never liked the styling of the AU XRs.
