If anyone is planning on getting some EF-EL door seals from JR's, don't bother! Sunny and I cleaned 'em out lol!

Scored a bit of a bargain getting two complete sets of EL door rubbers for all 4 doors, drip seals and the black metal bits that run down each side of the windscreen....all for $47 a set.

I haven't had time to fit mine yet but we did the passenger side of Sunny's car cause he was getting a fair bit of wind noise through the rubbers and it made a big difference. Couldn't fit the other side cause it started raining and got dark. But I'm sure he'll let you all know how it goes when he fits the other side. They should give the old EA's that nice cushy new car quiet interior feeling

I thought these were a weak point in the EF-EL and people retrofitted EA-ED items.

Let us know how you go Doug. Combined with the later model wipers this would really bring down the wind noise.

hmmm i was going to get new front door rubbers too....will have to compare EB and EL ones i think, before handing over the cash...i get really bad air leaks out of the top of the doors, once i get over about 160km/h...do you think that new seals will fix it?

Nah seriously, they are chunkier and wrap around the door more if you know what I mean. Plus the drip rails (the bit that runs along the roof) are a better design.

hmm i don't think the EF/EL are better.. I know we used to use the EA-ED and not the EF/EL ones, i just cant remember why.
