EL Ex-taxi

Just wondering what you would expect to pay. Have been offered a 97 model for $5000 with floor shift conversion already done, interior done, 16inch rims, tinted windows, RWC and rego, no holes in roof, etc. Is this a good price?

Re: EL Ex-taxi

about 5/600,000 i think. Its not really what i am looking for, but if it was a good price, probably would have been worth it. I'm after an EF/L taxi or front damaged, motor/box/interior not important, as a project car.

Re: EL Ex-taxi

Ex taxis are not a good way to start as a project UNLESS you plan to rip everything out.

these cars have all the little things, as well as the big things, go wrong with them. Motors, fuel pumps, trannys, diffs, bushes, squeaks and rattles etc etc

I have seen personally MANY earlier e-series cars with fatigue cracks around door strickers and even strut towers

Re: EL Ex-taxi

I do plan to rip everything out, converting to v8 which is sitting waiting to fall into a car. A mates EA had started to crack around the door strickers. He sold it last week for $5500 :)

Re: EL Ex-taxi

had a look at some taxi`s over here in perth
efs wagons $4500 /800000
ef sedans $5500 / 450000
both usual holes arials etc motors didnt sound any tappet rocker noise no panels replaced.

auctions are the best if anyone wants cheap damage ef had front damage bonnet, bumper, grill, headlights,k frame, air bag,radiator,a/con,p/s pump
for $2600
