EL Fairmont Trip Computer Stop Watch Function

Hi Guy's just wondering if anyone else had come accross the stop watch function in the EL Fairmonts Trip Computer.

For those of you who havent:- To enter the Stop Watch function navigate to the distance to empty read out and hold down the ''Reset" button untill the Stop Watch comes up.

You should then be able to press the Reset button to start and stop the timer. I am preety positve the timer keeps running in the back gorund while you skip through other functions. The only problem is it only times upto 10 or 20 min cant remember that one from memory.

Re: EL Fairmont Trip Computer Stop Watch Function

I had come on these forums when i first signed up and mentioned the same thing. Thought i was gonna win a prize, but unfortunately i wasn't the first to find that out. I found it out by mucking around, and was bewildered when a stop watch function was revealed. It's not in the owners manual for some reason, but it is in those manuals you can buy, mechanic manuals or something, can't remember the name.

and yes, it should work on any trip computer EF onwards, not sure about the earlier ones

In what format does it time? MM:SS:TT or something? (MM-Minutes, SS-Seconds, TT-milliseconds)

I'll have a look next time I can, but if someone finds out beforehand it would be great!
