Howdy all,

I am an XF driving fellow looking to upgrade to an EL Fairmont or Fairmont Ghia due to the low price that they are sitting at now.

In general, they are between $10,000 and $15,000 and what I would like to learn is what are they like running on LPG.
I know that Ford had an engine option for Tickford Fitted LPG on their six cylinder models ( barring the Fairmont Ghia I believe ) and want to know what the engine performance was rated at for those models as compared to the petrol engined version which had 157kw according to specs.
Was the performance better on Tickford Fitted LPG models?

Dont know about the Tickford set-up, but we have an aftermarket LPG system on the EL Fairmont and it has similar power on LPG to the petrol. LPG is just slightly underpowered I'd say, but still quite good.
