Which car do you think would win. I dont want biased ppl to post or anyone sayin i raced a vs in my el but i lost because "it was badly outa tune". Seeing as they are made the same years and the el has more power but is heavier i would expect it to be a close match. Oh and transmissions well lets just say they are either both auto or both manual, you decide.

I'd lean towards the EL, all things being equal. (Driver skill, 0 mods etc)

VS would win off the line for sure.
Ford autos are slugs off the line...
Rolling drag you should win mate. GO the ford Torque.
Not sure about manuals though, but i would lean towards the EL manny.

Well part of the reson i am asking is because im gonna try and find a manual vs or el dosent really bother me just whateva i can find first thats a really good buy

I used to have an EL, while my wife had an VS, cars were auto with no mods, i got a mate to drive the wifes VS with me in the EL, we had a drag up too 100klm, there was nothing in it in 1st gear, was dead even, then as i changed to second i jumped about a metre in front of the vs, and eventually pulled half a car length lead by 100klm.
I am sure they falcon was faster in the top end, and that if we kept going, the lead would have been bigger.

They used to have both at my brothers work and what Falcon Coupe said is pretty much spot on from what i heard off my brother. My brother said the VS was even infront below 80 but then the Falcon had not too much trouble. No doubt each car is different though.

I've had a few VS's get the edge on me in my EL Fairmont, though most of the VS's have had zorst, etc.. so I'm not sure.

I know that I've ripped through VN's and VR's however :)

i am a real fan of falcon manuals they really rip compared to a commodore manual as me mate has a EA 3.9 5 speed and it runs rings around his old girls VS auto
