Food for thought!
XWGT 351c windsor heads.
Has anyone heard of this car? Is it genuine? Whats the logic?
Had a Heated debate with a workmate about this and would like to know more, if such a car was genuine.He said he's going to try and find the mag the car was featured in
Its an oddball combination Which to me defys logic as the clevo heads would have been better, unless a couple of ford workers were messing around when they changed from 351w to351c. Or maybe then ran out of clevo heads ?
I guess they would have used a 351 windsor manifold if it fits?as casting a one off is unlikely.
Thoughts on this anyone

Don't Quote me on this BUT:

Ford and Chrysler had a joint venture years ago and developed a motor with windsor heads on a cleveland block and called it a boss as far as i know windsor head breathe better then the cleveland heads, As cleveland heads need alot of work to get any sort of serious horsepower.

Sounds very collectable, the owner is one lucky son of a gun.
My work mate was saying the owner bought it thinking it was a normal gt and got it at a price the makes you sick with envy.
Back to the heads.....

But idont understand what your saying about the heads, when i thought it was supposed to be the other way around with the cleveland heads being the better breathing heads of the day.Hence Ford USA conceiving the boss302w for all out high performance in the Trans-am series back then. Before having a short lived play with the 351c

I have heard of the engine combo but not in a GT.
Don't see the logic of that either as far as I know Cleveland heads flow better than the Windsors, these days it's a different story though.
All I can think of is, it has a smaller combustion chamber and the Windsor intake has water flowing through it to keep it cool.

Maybe someone here knows the exact reason
