Will the fairlane front ends bolt straight onto the XF?

If not.. can they be mod'd to fit? Anyone done it?

i think the gaurds are different and its longer front. so im not sure but i think its a no, but i guess anything is possible depends the time u want to spend doing it

Why dont you buy a whole Fairlane, they are worth nothing. A mate of mine just picked up a ZL for $50, put a new fuse in the fuel pump and away it went.

yer i recon thats the go buy a fairlane . i cant say i like the look of the zl much whats the reason for the change, keep the xf mate they go forever and the dorr handles are cheap and after a while you can it with ya eyes closed

Seen it done quite a bit a number of years back, seemed faily straight forward.
Think you need front (grill/lights/bumpersetc) and front wheelarch/mudguard panels, but its all bolt on stuff.
Think the bonnet is unchanged. (not sure)

They bolt straight up to XDEF.

I bought a wrecked ZL and swapped it over.

yeah, they bolt on pretty easily. I think for some models a very small amount of welding (brackets) is required. People have been putting Fairlane fronts on utes/vans since the beginning of time. More popular with holdens (Statesman/Caprice), but fairlane front utes are common up here...
