They're a good looking car that's for sure. Got the extra grunt from a 190 something KW Windsor, and they've also got the nice looking mesh grill from memory. I don't think there was many of them so could hold its value.
Always liked the look of a Fairlane/LTD dropped on it's arse with some nice rims...sweet. And a Tickford "8" has gotta be good.
Russell.
yeah the definately look the goods and got a bit of go too. I have always liked fairlanes for size but you need a lot more grunt to haul the big bastard around. Haven't seen too many around either which I like, bit of uniqueness. There are a couple of good articles on the net too -
The Tickford Fairlane is a great bit of gear. You get the whole GT works (excepting a slightly modified exhaust with reduced volume), and a superb interior. They are great value as well, having depreciated like bitches. I have had the joy to ride in one and of the long wheelbase Falcons (bar the AU TL series) it's an absolute winner. If I was going for a long wheelbase model this would have to be it, just for the mix of performance and value. Two thumbs up!

Where does the fairlane "CONCORDE" fit in?? Is a done by ford, tickford or someone else. I have driven one and was quite impressed by the overall package, mainly the suspension and wheel combo.:s5
Also, I saw an AU FAIRLANE today with SPORTSMAN stickers on it....I didnt know that they were still running sportsmans, or maybe it was just a sticker kit and big wheels???
