Hi all, I have a Falcon Ghia 2003 model and tonight when I went to move my electric seat forward it wouldn't move. When I moved it back, it went ok, but when I went to move it forward again, it moved forward a bit, but no where as much as it should. It also tilts the seat and moves the back as it should.
Is there a way that I can reset it, or does it need to go into the shop?
Thanks for the reply. I couldn't see anything blocking it, but I couldn't really see much though. I will take it into Ford tomorrow and get them to check it out. I can only just reach the pedals with it the way it is, so need it fixed quickly.
I ended up taking the car to the Ford place in Newcastle. They removed the seat and said that it was the motor. This would cost a tad under $3000 to replace, but they would fit a second hand seat with the motor for $1200. I told them to get the seat in, but when I picked up the car that afternoon, all of the controls were working properly (So I doubt it was the seat motor). I then cancelled the seat and the controls are still working as they should.
