Hi guys,

In need of a Wagon cause the new family member is taking up all my boot space and leaving no room for anything else bless the little darlin.

I own (don't spear me) a '93 VP SS. I drive a an AU Fairmont for the company car and have driven ED and EF Sedan and Wagon for company in the past.

I like the feel of the Falcon on the road. Smoother, heavier and more stable.

I'm looking at a S2 or S3 AU Wagon. Just want to know what "PROBLEMS" have there been with these models that I need to check out prior to handing over my hard earned cash?

I would assume the wagons have simliar issues to the sedans. l've only driven an EF wagon and thought the handling was terrible, especially in the wet going around round abouts as it was very easy to lose the back end. I would recommend having a look at the Auctions as there will be probably AUIII with warranty, these would be good buying. The Fairmont woud be nice it you could afford it as it has most the good features a BA would have.

yeah true i remember the rear end stepping out a lot of the EF I had.

I have a AU Series 3 Fairmont Wagon V8. Nearly 30000kms in 18 months, no problems.
Very happy with it. Haven't got less than 21mpg driving around Perth.
Runs better on PULP than ULP. But no improvement in mpg. The car starts easier and runs smoother on PULP. Not many V8's around, rare. So, I would say a 6 would be just as good. It is suprising what the cargo area holds !!
Highly recommend it.

Took a VY Wagon for a drive today. Have to say I am more impressed with the Falcons standard features over Holden's.

Love the feel of the new Falcons.

In the not to distant future I will be the proud owner of a Falcon.
