well i did it. changed the cam to an EF unit in my ED, and i must say took it for a quick squirt then and it just loves to pull at about 3000 rpm all the way to redline. would be an excelent upgrade for all 91DA engine owners who are on a budget. have got pics off the whole thing but here is a pic of the final product http://www.fordgallery.com/showphoto...cat/500/page/1.

because thats what it is, 87DA - EA-EB1, 91 DA - EB2-Early ED, 94 DA - late ED-EF. cost me $15 for a new rockercover gasket, got the cam for free from work. you could pick one up from a wreckers for around $50. was quite easy to do took me around 5 hours just taking my time and cleaning the engine bay up a bit as well.

Took us about 3 hours, including a trip to the wrecker to get new rocker gear.

Actually it's probably a 30 minute job, we just get carried away at wreckers.

yeah rocker cover is off fairlane sportsman, have a few lying around so i thought why not slap it on too.

good to see your getting your engine mods started on the monty

do cam's do any differance to power? or what exactly does it change in the engine?
i was thinking of adding an ef cam to my list of mods i gonna be doing throughout the christmas holidays
