I finally went into my Ford dealer here in Perth (McInerney Ford) and ordered my car after six months of research & reorganising my mortgage.

I will be trading in my 1996 Holden SS manual Commodore in for:

XR6 manual in Silhouette
XR Luxury interior package with premium ICC, XR sports leather seats (in orange trim) & premium audio
LSD
Spare alloy wheel

I used the current offer of $2000 worth of extras to lower the luxury package price. I plan to keep the car for 10 years so I decided to pamper myself with leather.

I should find out on July 2nd when my delivery date is.

I sat in an Enforcer so that I could get an idea of what the leather looks/feels like and play around with the premium ICC. I gotta say, it was hard to get out of the car. The leather feels great and the seats just hug your body.

While the XR6 is definately more comfy than the SS, the old girl served me well in relative comfort for 6 years, but now I could never go back.

Hurry up, end of July.
