Yeap i too have found that channel 40 is very valuable. Also found a nice place to mount mine, on the map pocket of the door trim.
Gotta admit though those XR6-T's are great in from a bang for yr bucks aspect, despite being bulgeless.

u mean u have a UHF picking up the police frequency which lets you hear where they are?

no, UHF CB operation for traffic and cops etc is channel 40 pretty much anywhere you go. The cop's positions are frequently broadcast by users on Ch40.

Having said that the GME top model UHF CB can be software programmed to a number of your selected police frequencies (with no transmit possible).
