Footwell Light Mod in XR8

After checking the forum, decided to do the footwell light mod. went to put the globes in and only found a holder in the passenger side. Nothing in the drivers.

Anyone else noticed this?? and can I do anything to add it, seeing it's not meant to be there in the first place?? or is it??

I wonder if they are doing it that way to keep the wiring loom the same for LHD export Falcons?

Sorry, I couldn't help myself...

Hmmm no socket or no bracket for the socket? Even my AU has the bracket that the light base goes into, (At the bottom underneath the fuse box)

I doubt it although I'd like to be proven wrong. I went looking for this on my Pursuit ute fitted with Prestige sound and nothing there.

Are the brackets for the lamp holders there? I'm assuming the dash assembly is the same across the range?

If so just get the lamp holders and lamps and run some wire and tap off the key finder light in the steering column. Easy!
