Re: Ford Falcon BA Wins Car Of The Year for 3 times in a row!
yes but the VE will be a whole new completly different commie, the ba falcon has remained upchanged since 2002, and has still taken out the commo. I find it quite amusing of this, although the VZ hasnt really had any major cosmetic changes from the VY, everything else is different, new "alloytec" engine, suspension, virtually everything as changed, the BA has remained the same, same power, same interior, a few added extrs plus the 6 speed manual, and it still beats the new VZ commodore.....

Re: Ford Falcon BA Wins Car Of The Year for 3 times in a row!
Ford’s Falcon XT claims the ABC Family Car crown for the third year in a row with the recently upgraded Series II model, refining an already class-leading package.
While arch rival the Holden Commodore came up with significant improvements, the BA Falcon Series II was able to keep its nose in front.
The base Ford BA Falcon benefits mainly from the inclusion of auto-on lights and cruise control in equipment tweaks over the previous series, while maintaining its driveability and design and function advantages, plus taking out best in class for safety criteria.
The VZ Commodore Executive, with its all new Alloytec engine, had the chance to spoil the Falcon XT hat-trick with its smoothness and quietness, but the Falcon, standard with a 182 kW, six-cylinder Barra engine, still has the edge in sheer engine excellence. The extra towing capacity the Falcon offers is also a plus.
Any buyer looking at the Falcon XT will be impressed by its extremely good seat comfort for all occupants, with quality interior trim materials not usually seen in this class, used to create a classy cabin with excellent ergonomics.
The final scoring was tight, with the Holden Commodore and Toyota Camry Altise being close in many areas — and better in some. But as an overall package, the Falcon XT still proves hard to unseat in this important category.
