Re: Fuel Economy Calculator and Other Interesting Info
I remember seeing this site a couple of months back. Hyclones seem like a good idea and they probably work really well, but i think the problem they have is public awarness. See if we can find out if the have a outlet near me

Re: Fuel Economy Calculator and Other Interesting Info
Why do they sound like a dodgy, ineffective product off a 2am TV commercial? If anyone has actually tried one of these, I would love to know the result. But the simple fact is, if a spiralling airflow was really that good at increasing efficiency, power, etc.. then why haven't car manafacturers been building these devices directly into their intake pipes and even within the intake manifolds for years? If I had $160 too throw away, I'd be almost tempted too try one, just for the giggle-value, but I am not rich enough too throw money away on crap like this :(

Re: Fuel Economy Calculator and Other Interesting Info
as much as this is off topic to this, i worked out the other day that over the time that i've had my car (just about a year now) i've done 40,000km's. the amount of money i've saved by running on LPG and not petrol is somewhere around $1500 (thats taking into account that i run on petrol sometimes).
Now thats how u save money

Re: Fuel Economy Calculator and Other Interesting Info
I used to have an 80 litre gas tank in the Fairlane. Gas used to get me about 350 clicks, petrol about 600. I figured that after my mixer melted down that it wasn't worth repairing it to run on gas again as it only gave me extended range. The cons being the extra weight in the car, having a Falcon sized boot and having to spend 20 minutes at a servo filling it up! PULP all the way!

Re: Fuel Economy Calculator and Other Interesting Info
takes me longer to put petrol in my car then it does LPG.
i just put something in the handle and wonder around for a few mins.
with a decent converter and when i rid myself of the stupid EF intake piping, i should be able to get more frmo a tank of LPG :)
