Is this futura with a ts50 kit worth it?

http://vehicles.dmotorworks.com.au/c...e_id=carfinder

this car is for sale for 20g. I checked it out and I like it alot, the only thing that is stopping me from buying it is the high kms. It has done 140,000 which is way too high for me. I just wanted to know is it possible to buy this kit anywhere and how much it would cost to fit it to an AU futura if I buy a stock one with around 60,000kms.

Thanks

hmmm 20g may be a tad high. you could probably get this kit for around 2k or under + paint. if your seriously looking then head to the auctions as cars are cheaper there. pick the right car and itll be a bargain but expect to have to spend some money on it though.

Re: Is this futura with a ts50 kit worth it?

thats wat i mean, is it worth finding a better car and spending all the money on it to get it to the same standard as this one minus the kms, or will it turn out to be more expensive?

Is there anywhere else I can find cars like this for sale with this bodykit?

better of buying without the kit....it will be cheaper to get it all done yourself if you go to the auctions. unless you buy a dud car.

and where can I get this kit from that will also include the 18inch alloys?
Could you give me a rough price I should expect to pay for it including the alloys.

Also how much would a 2001 futura auto with around 60,000kms go for at an auction?

Here is the redbook value. I dont' think it's a bad deal, if you are keen on the car, i'd say go for it. Plus you might get some kind of warranty from the dealer.

Re: Is this futura with a ts50 kit worth it?

2001 is series 2..
low kays from auction $12-$14000 + $2000 for 18" wheels and tyres + $3000-$4000 for kit fitted and painted = $17000 - $20000.. with no warranty

The price is right but i can see your valid point re:- the odometer.. if you go thru the auctions and source the parts yourself you can have the same car with less kays for around the same $$

Thats really steep on pricing Falkeens old car (Naparms car now) only went for low 20's its a futura but with a full T series bodykit AU2 xr8 alloys and a Supercharger

Find your self a nice low Km car

You can get the kit from www.ssv.com.au

Re: Is this futura with a ts50 kit worth it?

Agreed. With the kms on that car it is a bit too expensive, you would be best buying a futura and kitting it up yourself.
